An Intro to Silence

I've been here for two years, five months, three weeks, and two
days. I just kind of showed up here on June 25th, 4016, so the doctors
here just deemed that to be my birthday.

From the tests they've done, I'm apparently fourteen years old,
and what they call a "Haibane", which I suppose means "Charcoal
feathers". I have wings. They are currently at my arm-span in length, and
have feathers that look like someone painted with wet charcoal. Also, I
have a halo. Don't let that throw you off. I'm a Haibane, not an Angel.

I never speak. I never have, I don't know why. So they call me
"Molchanie", which means "Silence". The man who named me is Russian.

I live in a mental hospital, located in Amiens, France. They
speak French and English here. It is located on the basim of the Somme
river, and is at the bottom of a valley; so it's quite swampy here.
Winters and Summers are moderate, and it rains quite often. But
nonetheless, it is beautiful.

I am more-or-less a big sister to the kids from ages five to ten.
They are very interesting to watch.

I stay in room 150-3. I am with the youn adolescents- but they
don't like me. Probably because of the way I look, and the fact that the
doctors always bring me in for research with different doctors from
different hospitals or research centres. It gets lonely. . .

I am 152.4 Centimetres tall. Apparently I am from Greek decent. I
have hip-length black hair and surprisingly pale skin- and I also have
silver-blue-grey eyes. The doctors said I could have northern ancestors
as well.

I don't know how I ended up here, or why I'm here, but all I know
is that I want to be accepted for who I am. I don't want to be alone
anymore.
